Which Cosmetic Injectable Is Right for Me?
At our Saratoga Springs MediSpa, Dr. Steven Yarinsky and our dedicated team offer several different cosmetic injectables to address patients’ varying needs. In fact, Dr. Yarinsky is the only certified Expert Injector™ located in the Albany/Capital District region — meaning he has had extensive training and experience with these treatments. As a board-certified plastic surgeon who also specializes in facial cosmetic surgery, Dr. Yarinsky has a thorough understanding and conception of beauty and facial aesthetics compared with other regional injectors. He personally administers all injections at our practice. When performed by a qualified professional with over 30 years of experience like Dr. Yarinsky, these non-surgical, highly versatile products can be used to safely provide you with a rejuvenated, refreshed appearance. Neurotoxin-based injectables, such as Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport®, Jeuveau®, and Xeomin®, can effectively relax and smooth active dynamic wrinkles, which are caused by overactive, repetitive facial movements. Common examples of areas of dynamic wrinkles include crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines between your brows. The unique chemical makeup of these muscle relaxers can both reduce the appearance of existing dynamic wrinkles and slow the development of new ones. Patients who maintain their treatments every 3 or 4 months can prevent or delay the aging process.
Another popular injectable option at our MediSpa is our large collection of dermal fillers, including the Juvéderm® family, Radiesse®, Belotero Balance®, and Restylane®. Many of our facial fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance which occurs naturally in our bodies and helps keep our skin hydrated. Some of the fillers we offer such as the calcium-based filler Radiesse® and Sculptra® are longer lasting by encouraging the production of collagen. Facial fillers can shape your face and restore volume lost to aging in your lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, and more by smoothing and contouring the treatment area to create a softened, more youthful appearance.
In addition to neurotoxins and facial fillers, we offer other types of injectables, as well, including the deoxycholic acid-based Kybella® for treating submental fullness or a double chin by melting the fat and the collagen-promoting poly-L-lactic acid-based Sculptra® Aesthetic for restoring lost facial volume.
