Breast Enhancement

BREAST AUGMENTATION |
BREAST LIFT

For a woman who
for personal reasons feels her breast size is too small, too
large or not contoured enough, cosmetic breast surgery can be
the answer.
With a breast
augmentation, the surgeon inserts an implant filled with saline
(salt) solution or silicone gel to improve the contour and increase the size of
the breast.
For women who
desire smaller breasts
Dr. Yarinsky can reduce the size of the
breast through the removal of fatty tissue, then reshape the
smaller breast.
Also often
included in breast surgery is the breast lift. Breast lifting
removes excess skin from the lower part of the breast to raise
sagging breasts thus reshaping and lifting the breast for a more
complementary figure.
This procedure
is done at our JCAHO
accredited
office facility.

BREAST AUGMENTATION
|
WHO IS A
CANDIDATE?
|
|
- You desire larger breasts to
create a more balanced figure or to fill out you clothing and
bathing suits.
- You have one breast that is
noticeably smaller than the other.
- You have mild breast
drooping and desire an uplift and enlargement.
INTENDED RESULT |
- Larger and more shapely
breasts.
- A more positive self image.
|
| PROCEDURE
DESCRIPTION |
- The procedure is done in
Dr. Yarinsky's office facility as an outpatient usually using
general anesthesia or IV sedation. You sleep, feel nothing and
are amnesic for the surgery.
- A small incision is made
around the areola (the pigmented part of the breast). The
implant is inserted under the breast tissue and muscle.
Saline (salt water) filled implants are usually used. Gel
filled implants are available for use in some cases.
RECUPERATION AND HEALING |
- You wear a sports bra or
dressing and a velcro strap which helps hold your breasts in
the correct position. The bra and strap are worn for several
weeks.
- Any discomfort is well
controlled with oral medication.
- Sutures are usually removed
within two weeks.
- Light activities can be
resumed as tolerated. Aerobic activities can be started in
about 3 weeks.
OTHER OPTIONS |
- An additional procedure that
may enhance your result is a breast lift--if your breasts are
saggy in addition to being small. Many people choose to add
liposuction or a
tummy tuck to enhance their figure. These
procedures can be done at the same time as you breast
enlargement.

BREAST LIFT
|
| WHO IS A
CANDIDATE?
|
- You have sagging breasts due
to past pregnancies, genetics, or aging.
- Your areolae (pigmented
areas around nipples) are enlarged.
INTENDED RESULT |
- An elevated, more youthful
breast contour.
- Smaller areolae located at a
more pleasing height.
|
| PROCEDURE
DESCRIPTION |
- The procedure is done as an
outpatient in Dr.
Yarinsky's office facility using sedation or
general anesthesia.
- The design of the incisions
can vary but usually includes incisions around the areolae
and/or in the crease under the breast.
- Your areolae are placed
higher, excess skin is removed, and your breasts are reshaped
in a more youthful, pleasing contour.
RECUPERATION AND HEALING |
- You wear a supportive bra
with only light dressings over the incision lines.
- The bra is worn to hold
dressings and maintain breast shape for 2-3 weeks.
- Sutures are usually removed
by two weeks.
- Initial discomfort is easily
controlled with oral medication.
- Light activities may be
started in 7-10 days.
OTHER OPTIONS |
- Additional procedures which
may enhance the result are a breast volume reduction or breast
enlargement. A breast implant can increase upper breast
fullness and is often desired.
NOTE |
- The specific risks and the
suitability of this procedure for you can be determined only
at the time of your consultation with
Dr Yarinsky. All
surgical procedures have some degree of risk. Minor
complications that do not affect the outcome occur
occasionally. Major complications are unusual. Most people are
very happy with the results but no specific result can be
guaranteed.
This procedure is done at our
JCAHO accredited office facility.
